This Privacy Policy explains what information Handy Jim's collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Handy Jim's is a local, family-run handyman business serving Akron, Ohio and the surrounding Summit County area.

Information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you reach out — by calling, texting, emailing, or sending the quote request form on this site — we receive your name, your phone number or email address, and any details you share about the job.

We do not collect personal information automatically, and we don't ask for sensitive information.

How we use it

We use your information for one purpose: to respond to you and handle the work you asked about — answering questions, scheduling a visit, preparing a quote, and following up. That's it.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

When you send the quote form

The quote request form on this site is delivered to us by a third-party form service (Web3Forms), which passes your message to Jim by email. Your details are used only to deliver and answer your request.

Tracking and cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across the web. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no similar tool. Fonts and page assets are served directly from this site.

The exception is Google Maps, which powers two things: the interactive service-area map (it loads when you scroll it into view) and the quote form's optional address suggestions (they load when you type in that field). Both are subject to Google's privacy policy. We don't send Google anything you type into the rest of the form.

If you use the accessibility menu, your display preferences (text size, contrast, and so on) are saved in your own browser's local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to us.

How your information is kept

Messages and quote requests stay in Jim's email and business records only as long as needed to serve you and keep ordinary records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can choose not to share your information, though we may not be able to quote a job without a way to reach you. To ask what we have on file, or to have it corrected or deleted, just contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for adults arranging home services and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.
